Hello! I'm Victoria and I have created Tie the Knot to help brides and grooms to plan the perfect wedding.
After I got engaged, I jumped right into planning. I loved every aspect - finding the perfect ceremony and reception sites, searching for a DJ and selecting the photographer. I ordered a notebook to keep track of all my contacts, deadlines and final selections. To me, wedding planning is exciting, fun and interesting.
I found out, however, that not everyone has that energy and enthusiasm to spend hours researching, sorting and selecting the multitude of vendors that are required to put together a successful wedding day. A close friend, whose wedding day was fast approaching, called me in desperate need of a make up artist and hair stylist after realizing the original group backed out. The thrill of sorting through and calling on my contacts followed by the satisfaction of getting her exactly what she needed left me feeling more content than my 9to5 job ever did. I realized that a career change was needed.
With that inspiration, I created Tie the Knot. Let me help you to create the perfect day to start a beautiful marriage.
I come from a project management and coordination background in the corporate furniture industry. Who knew that was a thing, right?
I have used my organization and planning skills to carry out countless projects, from single offices to entire wings of hospitals. While the work was surprisingly interesting, I always felt like I wanted to do something that would leave a personal and lasting impact on people's lives.
In the midst of planning my own wedding (the big day is June 24, 2017!), friends approached me to help plan their own special day. In helping my girlfriends, I realized my true calling. I could still put to use all the planning, researching and organizational skills from my previous work, but in a way that meant something, not only to me but to others as well.
With about 6 months to go, I'm proud to say I only have minor details left to confirm. Over the past 8 months, I have also helped one of my best friends finish the planning of her wedding in October and kick started the planning process for a friend who got engaged over the summer. Using prior knowledge and experience, coupled with the ability to provide a personalized touch has helped me to create memorable moments and alleviate the anxiety that can often put a damper on the excitement of wedding planning.
My love for wedding planning has grown exponentially, as have my contacts and resources to help you prepare for that magical moment when you say "I do". Let Tie the Knot help ease the stress and worry by handling any and all of your planning needs.
